Who am I?

Hello lovely people! Thanks for dropping in on my regular musings. Fellow dreamers, scribblers, wine-slurpers, occasional drunkards, pen-wielding globe-trotters, unite!

I’m a writer, originally from the UK, though I’ve been hot-footing it round the world for quite a while. I’ve lived in lots of lovely places but at the moment, I call Bali home. For the past nine months I’ve been writing the sequel to my first book ‘Burqalicious – The Dubai Diaries’ (published in Australia, Poland, Russia, China… and in June 2012, America and Canada!) The second book will be Balilicious – The Bali Diaries, published in Australia October 2012. And maybe a few more places too, but it’s too soon to tell!

I really hope you’ll buy a copy of my books if you like my blog. There will be e-books too, and I’ll be posting regular news updates and Burqalicious, and Balilicious extras on this blog as time goes on. You can also follow me on twitter if you like – bex_wicks

Thanks for reading! xxx

PS: If you do like this blog, make sure you ‘like’ the Burqalicious Facebook page!

Hi Rebecca, I write for the expat desk at the Daily Telegraph in the UK and thought you would make an interesting interview, if you are keen?

Sen me an email to the above address and we’ll arrange something.

    Congrats on your book.

Hi Becky ! Just picked up Burqalicious from QBD yesterday. Awesome !!!! 🙂

Coincidentally, I lived in Dubai from 2007 to 2010 as well before I moved to Sydney. So you can imagine the nostalgia as I flip every page of your book. Wonder why I didnt bump into you at Harry G’s .. Or did I ? 😉

    Cheers

    Hi Becky,

Any idea when the book will be available in the UK? It is showing available on Amazon but read from other people that Amazon had emailed them after they had ordered it saying it wasn’t available – can’t get on ibooks here either 😦

I have moved around the opposite way to you – started in NZ/Oz, then Dubai and now in sunny Scotland (shock to the system – sand to snow). Was in Dubai 2002-2009 so as you can probably imagine am dying to read the book and have a good giggle at all the memories! Congrats on the book!!
